Cassie, Vet Assistant

Cassie has always been an animal lover. Her childhood house was always full of animal love: birds, dogs, cats, lizards, hamsters etc. She is a Landis native but now resides in Kannapolis with husband Justice. She got her start as a Veterinarian Assistant in 2016, doing her externship for the Animal Behavior College at Cabarrus Spay & Neuter Clinic. Now she is a full time employee at the clinic and loves every minute with the great staff and animals that come through. She lost the animal love of her life in 2016, the family dog "Mookie," and hasn't been able to get another.

Rebecca, Vet Assistant

Where do we begin with Rebecca?  For starters, she loves animals of all sizes and shapes (even the creepy crawlers).  Rebecca is Tar Heel born and was raised in the Rowan County area.  After high school she wasn't sure which field she wanted to pursue for a career.  Fast forward a few years where she started volunteering at Cabarrus Spay & Neuter Clinic in early 2018.  Who doesn't want to work with furry companions and at a non-profit facility that helps the community?  Rebecca was excited to start.  She loves being a wonderful wife and a cat owner.  Rebecca and her husband, Karl, adopted their two cats, Silent Bob and Einstein, a little over ten years ago.  Rebecca dreams of adopting a dog and a hamster one day.

Xabrina, Vet Assistant

Xabrina grew up in sunny South Florida and is enjoying her new life in North Carolina. Her love of animals came from a young age with a house full of cats, hamsters, and fish. She began her journey in the veterinary field in 2011 right after receiving her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology at Florida Gulf Coast University. She started with the clinic in May of 2018, and is happy to be part of the Cabarrus Spay Neuter Clinic family where there is never a shortage of laughter and fun. When she isn’t working with all the sweet cats and dogs, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Alex, and their French Bulldog, Prescott.
